Investment Property in Colorado Springs
The areas of El Paso County, Colorado that I represent—Colorado Springs and Briargate, Fairfax, Pine Creek, Stetson Hills and Woodland Hills—are prime investment targets for many of my clients. For the past several years real estate investment opportunities here in El Paso County, Colorado have consistently showed gains that outpaced the rest of the United States, with the median appreciation rate being almost 60%.
New residents are flocking from all over the country to live in El Paso County, or are being relocated here by the military. We are one of the fastest growing counties in Colorado, and in fact we ranked first in the state for population growth during the ‘90s. Our economy has strengthened and the median personal income here rose by over 30%.
About 28% of the residents in the County own some form of investment property, from undeveloped land, to new construction, to single family homes, to multi-family dwellings. The prestigious and very well planned community of Briargate is a perfect example. Property in Briargate has appreciated by over 55% over the last decade and continues to rise. Pine Creek propertieshave also continued to appreciate dramatically, understandable since Pine Creek was developed by the same master developer of Briargate.
